Fastenal Deepens Commitment to Agricultural Education With National FFA Partnership

Fastenal Company (Nasdaq: FAST), a major distributor of industrial and construction supplies headquartered in Winona, Minnesota, announced on December 5, 2025, a new corporate partnership with the National FFA Organization. The alliance is set to deepen Fastenal’s long-standing commitment to supporting agricultural education and youth development across the United States.

The National FFA Organization, formerly known as Future Farmers of America, is one of the country’s largest youth organizations, dedicated to transforming students’ lives and fostering leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. With more than 945,000 student members in over 9,100 local chapters nationwide, the FFA plays a significant role in nurturing the next generation of agricultural leaders and professionals.

Under this expanded partnership, Fastenal will increase its active presence at prominent FFA events, including the annual National FFA Convention and Expo. The company’s Senior Executive Vice President of Sales, Casey Miller, will join the National FFA Sponsors' Board, further integrating Fastenal’s executive leadership into the organization’s governance and sponsorship efforts.

Fastenal’s enhanced support will include grants to both local FFA chapters and state associations, aiming to boost leadership opportunities and agricultural education at various levels. As part of the initiative, the company will fund five college scholarships through the FFA’s grant application system, and will also participate in the organization’s ‘Give the Gift of Blue’ program, which provides FFA’s signature blue jackets to members who may not otherwise be able to afford them. These measures are designed to foster a sense of pride and belonging, while promoting leadership development among youth interested in agricultural careers.

Fastenal’s CEO, Dan Florness, who is himself a former FFA member and officer from the Ellsworth, Wisconsin chapter, expressed strong support for the partnership. Florness highlighted the positive impact FFA has had on young people and communities, emphasizing the importance of investing in the future of farming and food production throughout the country. Other Fastenal executives with FFA backgrounds have echoed these sentiments, citing the organization’s vital role in shaping tomorrow’s agricultural leaders.

According to a statement released by Fastenal, the company operates approximately 3,200 branch locations, providing a wide array of safety, metal cutting, and industrial supplies to a diverse base of customers. This extensive national footprint positions Fastenal to provide meaningful mentorship, guidance, and tangible support to FFA members aspiring to careers in agriculture and related fields.

The National FFA Organization, governed by a board of trustees composed of business leaders and education advocates, depends on partnerships like this to secure resources critical to its student programs. Together, Fastenal and FFA aim to ensure students across the nation are equipped with the tools and opportunities needed for academic and career success in agriculture.

Further details on the announcement and the partnership’s initiation can be found in Fastenal’s official investor news release.
